The New Orleans Pelicans are preparing to move their game against the New England Patriots from New Orleans’ Mercedes-Benz Superdome to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the team announced on Wednesday.

The Saints will play the Patriots on Dec. 1, 2018.

The game will mark the first time in NFL history that the Super Bowl has been played at the Mercedes-Buccas stadium in Arlington.

The NFL announced Wednesday that it will hold the game at the stadium, which opened in 2014 and will become the first NFL stadium to host a Super Bowl in 2020.

The New England-New Orleans game will be the final home game of the 2017 season.

In a statement, the NFL said that while it is in the final stages of finalizing the game’s relocation, it is working with the New Orleans community to make the best of the decision.

“We appreciate all the hard work that’s been put in by the New Orleanians to get the Superdomes name back and to help build the Mercedes Dome and the NFL brand in New Orleans,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said in the statement.

“It’s our hope that the Mercedes Stadium will be able to become a vibrant hub for sports in New York City and beyond.”

The Saints are expected to announce the game in early October, and the league’s decision is expected in the next few weeks.
